GMP has always produced not only video but also multiple forms of media. For example, projects have included audio recordings, graphic design, podcasts, and academic presentations. In addition, GMP has published printed books under the subsidiary Alpha-Maya Press that include works of fictional short stories, textbooks, and poetry books. At GMP, I also launched DREAM.lab, a group that brought university students, teachers and researchers together to develop and analyze multimodal texts. DREAM.lab lasted three years while I worked as a contract worker at a Japanese university. Finally, photography has been a major focus. I keep a separate website devoted to photography with an online gallery, and GMP also has its own website. Links to both the photography gallery and Grand Marquee Productions are posted below.
Grand Marquee Productions is an award-winning multimedia production company I started in 1999. Its original aim was to produce captivating videos rooted in culture and art, and over the years the focus has developed and evolved into a number of areas including travel, language learning textbooks, academic research, documentary work, cable television in the USA, websites, Hollywood film festivals, and high-definition infomercials on national television in Japan.
